2008

February 14th - Yacht "In The Mood" with engine failure towed to Peterhead.
April 7th - MFV Oportunus ( PD 96) with mechanical problems being towed by MFV Gratitude (BF103), escorted both vessels to Peterhead.
May 5th - MFV Courageous aground at entrance to Peterhead harbour, stood by.
May 9th - Motor Brig "King Fisher" taking in water off Cruden Bay, passed pump and escorted to Peterhead.
June 5th - 16' Creel boat overdue, found safe and well off Rattray Head.
June 23rd - Climber fallen down cliffs at Cruden Bay, recovered to Lifeboat and taken to waiting Ambulance at Peterhead harbour.
June 30th - MFV "Our Lass" (WY 797) with engine failure 30nm SE of Peterhead, towed to Peterhead.
July 27th - Canoeist in difficulties off Buchanhaven, assisted to shore.
August 9th - Person suspected of falling into harbour, assisted Police. Found to be a hoax call.
August 19th - Possible casualty on cliffs at Slains Castle, stood by with Police.
August 23rd - Cabin cruiser " Alvenus" in difficulty in Sandford Bay, towed to Peterhead Marina.
August 24th- Red flares sighted off Buchanhaven, nothing found. Possible hoax call.
October 3rd- Red flares sighted off Buchanhaven, nothing found. Possible hoax call.
November 8th - MFV Adventurer II (INS 8) in difficulties while under tow, assisted to Peterhead.
November 27th- Helicopter in difficulties returning from offshore installation, stood by until over land.


2007

January 11th - Red flares sighted to North of Peterhead, nothing found.
January 13th - MFV Rosemount aground on beach just South of Rattray Head light, assistance given.
January 14th - MFV Rosemount aground on beach, assistance given. Launched twice at morning and evening high waters. Final attempt to refloat was successful. Escorted back to Peterhead.
January 22nd - Dog fallen in Peterhead Bay behind Crosse and Blackwell building, recovered by unknown persons, no launch required.
January 27th - MFV Evening Star taking in water 30nm East of Peterhead, crew airlifted to safety by Rescue Helicopter, Life raft and debris recovered by Lifeboat.
January 29th - Tasked by Aberdeen Coastguard to search shoreline South of Buchaness Lighthouse for missing person, casualty found and recovered to Lifeboat and subsequently transferred to Rescue Helicopter.
March 11th - Dog fell off cliff at Slains Castle - stood by
April 4th - Red flare sighted off Boddam – nothing found.
April 28th - EPIRB heard and was found on fishing vessel in harbour.
May 16th -EPIRB heard and was found on fishing vessel in harbour. Activated accidentally.
October 16th - Motor boat “Olive” with engine failure 1.5nm North East of Scotstown Head, towed vessel back to Peterhead marina
June 11th - Two young children trapped on rocks in Peterhead bay
July 13th - MFV Aquarius propeller fouled 1 mile off Peterhead - gave tow.
July 19th - Launched to look for missing person south of Peterhead – person found safe on shore.
August 12th - Yacht reported to be in difficulty off Cruden Bay – false alarm with good intent.
August 20th - Yacht Star Cross fouled propeller north of Peterhead – Gave tow.
September 11th - Small creel boat with engine trouble of St.Fergus – gave tow.
November 25th - Small vessel ’Blue Fin’ with engine trouble in Peterhead bay – gave tow.


2006

February 28th - MFV 'Heather Sprig' towing MFV 'Apollo', Escorted and Assisted into Peterhead
June 1st - Small creel boat “Susan K” capsized off Buchanhaven, two men recovered from the water and boat saved
August 14th - Small creel boat capsized on seaward side of South Breakwater, one person recovered from water and boat saved
September 6th - Red flares sighted off Peterhead, nothing found. (Presumed hoax)
September 11th - MFV Atlantic Challenge lost all engine power 0.5nm East of North Head, as Lifeboat arrived on scene vessel had restarted engines and was moving clear of shore
October 16th - Motor boat “Olive” with engine failure 1.5nm North East of Scotstown Head, towed vessel back to Peterhead marina
October 30th - Lifeboat tasked to follow up suspicious Mayday call, searched from Scotstown Head to Kinnaird with nothing found. After nearly 4hrs Lifeboat stood down
November 3rd - Launched to assist Coastguard in recovering dog which had fallen over cliffs just below Slains Castle
December 17th - Pleasure dive boat “Buchan Elle” with engine problems 1.5nm North East of Peterhead. Towed vessel back to Peterhead marina

January 5th - MFV 'Mizpah' 2 men overboard in South Harbour
February 28th - DSC Alert 7.5 Nm South East of Peterhead, False alarm
March 26th - FPV 'Sulisker' 8 Nm East of Peterhead, Took off injured Crewman
April 15th - E.P.R.I.B., False Alarm
April 18th - MFV 'Victoria May' with Engine Failure, Towed to Peterhead
May 23rd - MFV 'Our Lass' with Engine Failure, Towed to Peterhead
June 6th - Suspected Missing Person at Bullers of Buchan
August 9th - Speedboat Broken down off breakwater, Towed to Marina
August 12th - Yawl 'Shalom' Sinking 2.5 Nm North East of Peterhead, Pumped out and towed to Marina
August 22nd - MFV 'Atlantic Princess', Landed casualty ashore
September 11th - Animal rescue from the base of cliffs at Dundonnie, taken to Lifeboat Station and returned to owner
September 18th - Yacht towed to Peterhead Marina
September 18th - Animal Body recovered from the base of cliffs and taken with owner to Cruden Bay
October 22nd - Yacht 'Sealgair' Towed to Peterhead Marina
November 1st - Yawl 'Reliance' Fouled Propeller Towed to Slipway

January 5th - MFV 'Constant Friend' with engine failure, towed to Peterhead Harbour

April 27th - Yawl 'Gannet' on Rocks in Peterhead Bay
June 23rd - Yacht 'Jamila' with engine failure, towed to Peterhead Marina
July 17th - Yacht 'Nawel' lost in fog off Peterhead, Located and towed to Peterhead Marina
August 5th - Yacht 'Susan J' aground in Peterhead Bay in fog, pulled clear and towed to Marina
August 28th - MFV 'Beryl' with engine failure, towed to Peterhead Harbour
September 3rd - Yawl 'Sharee' with engine problems, escorted to Boddam
September 16th - Yawl 'Carlin' with engine failure, towed to Peterhead Harbour
November 24th - MFV 'Sagittarius' with fuel problems, towed to Peterhead Harbour


2002

February 18th - Possible body in water, 50 Yards off the North Head, searched for 2½ hours, nothing found
March 28th - Young boy stranded on rocks at Gadle Braes, rescued with x-boat
April 7th - Yawl broken down 500 yards off Slains Castle, towed to Cruden Bay Harbour
May 3rd - 50' sailing vessel in difficulties 6 Nm South of Peterhead, Lifeboat was at sea for 3 Hours (Hoax)
May 9th - Person fell from cliffs at Boddam, assisted Coastguard to remove casualty to safety
May 9th - Converted 45' MFV 'Lady Grace' without power 6 Nm North of Peterhead, towed to Peterhead Marina
June 20th - Pleasure boat 'Lad' broken down ½ Nm South East of Salt House Head, towed to Peterhead Marina
June 25th - Competitor in bay swim in difficulty, gave First Aid and transferred to hospital
August 5th - Launched to aid young boy in difficulty at mouth of River Ugie, Combined effort between Lifeboat, Coastguard and rescue helicopter to recover person and transfer to hospital
August 28th - Yawl with engine failure ¾ Nm East of Peterhead, towed to Boddam Harbour
September 8th - Launched to aid dog fallen off East side of South Breakwater at night, owner suspected to be in danger
September 10th - Yacht in difficulties in South West corner of Peterhead Bay, assisted and towed to Peterhead Marina
September 14th - False alarm with good intent (Small boat at Buchanhaven)
September 16th - False alarm with good intent (Small boat at Buchanhaven)
October 6th - False alarm with good intent (Small boat at Collieston)
October 16th - Person in cliff fall at Cruden Bay, assisted Coastguard and Rescue Helicopter 'Helo 137'
September 27th - Person suspected of falling off South Breakwater, searched for 2½ Hours - nothing found
December 23rd - Cargo vessel on approach to Peterhead Bay lost all power, lifeboat tasked to standby. Lifeboat was stood down prior to launch as vessel had restarted engine and cleared Peterhead Bay


2001

February 20th - Assisted MFV 'Starlight' PD 150 - which has sustained damage to stem and fire in the engine room (5 POB's)
March 1st - E.P.R.I.B. detected by Coastguard in Peterhead Area, found to be from MFV 'Rosemount' PD 313 in South Harbour
March 15th - Assisted MFV 'Fredwood' BA 338, 1 Nm NE of Peterhead with a fouled propeller, towed to Peterhead (4 POB's)
April 3rd - Assisted capsized catamaran (dart 5) in Peterhead Bay, towed to safe water and righted (2 POB's)
April 27th - E.P.R.I.B. detected South East of Peterhead, area searched with Rescue Helicopter (R137), RAF Nimrod (R51) and Aberdeen Lifeboat, Nothing Found
May 26th - Assisted a broken down Yawl 2 Nm North East of Peterhead, towed vessel to Peterhead (3 POB's)
June 21st - Assisted MFV 'Ocean Challenge' PD 977, taking on water and required pump assistance 35 Nm East of Peterhead, Escorted vessel back to Peterhead
June 22nd - Assisted MFV 'Utsiera' INS 270 which had lost engine power 16 Nm East of Peterhead, towed vessel back to Peterhead
June 29th - Launched to search for a life raft spotted 30 Nm East of Peterhead, found to be a discarded orange oilskin
July 26th - Stood by for Super Puma Helicopter flying over with engine problems (12 POB's)
August 19th - Escorted 40ft Motor Yacht 'Just do it' lost in fog to Peterhead Marina (2 POB's)
August 28th - Launched to standby off Bullers of Buchan, Personal Emergency
September 3rd - Towed in Yacht 'Gondwana' , who had lost its propeller and was unable to enter Peterhead by sail due to worsening weather conditions (3 POB's). Click for Image.
October 6th - Launched to assist windsurfer in difficulties in Peterhead Bay
October 6th - Upturned dinghy with 2 POB's separated from boat
October 18th - Stranded 10 year old boy stuck on the rocks at Boddam
November 20th - Search for missing person. Nothing found
December 9th - Male reported in the water in Peterhead Bay, Found by Police at home.
